Uncle Wiggily's Rain Storm | Weather Stories

In this charming story set in Animal Land, Uncle Wiggily Longears, a caring and adventurous bunny rabbit gentleman, decides to brave the rainstorm to visit his friend, Grandfather Goosey Gander. Meanwhile, in Boy and Girl Land nearby, two children are stuck indoors and frustrated with the rain preventing their outdoor play. Their mother, resting with a headache, asks for some quiet, but the children are restless and tired of their toys. Observing this unfold as he passes their house, Uncle Wiggily comes up with a delightful plan to lift their spirits. Gathering natural items from the woods—such as acorns, pine cones, shells, and birch bark—he discreetly tosses them through the children's open window, leading to a burst of imagination and joy as they discover these new playthings. The children's newfound happiness quiets them down, providing peace for their mother. Uncle Wiggily's thoughtful gesture shows the power of creativity and kindness in transforming a gloomy day into one filled with fun and laughter.
