The Fairies And The Dandelion | Bedtime Stories

This imaginative tale explains the origin of the dandelion's yellow flower and white puffball seed head through a fairy story. Originally plain green weeds, the dandelions cried incessantly because they wanted bright yellow tops like the sun, disturbing the fairies. After initially offering white caps, the Fairy Queen, persuaded by their persistence and aided by Elves gathering scarce sunbeams, struck a compromise: the dandelions received their desired yellow blossoms for part of the season, followed by the fairies' discarded fluffy white caps for the rest, explaining their unique transformation and bringing peace back to the meadow.
