Eddie’s Faith

Eddie's Faith is a short story about young Eddie Fenton, who faces a bleak Christmas Eve with a sick mother, no coal, and no money for food or gifts. Spending his hard-earned fifty cents on coal to warm their room, Eddie turns to the Bible for comfort and finds a verse that sparks a bold, heartfelt prayer — asking God for his mother's health and a fully cooked turkey. When a knock at the door the next morning brings exactly that, Eddie's unshaken trust feels quietly extraordinary.
