Uncle Wiggily And Lulu’s Hat

"Uncle Wiggily and Lulu's Hat" is a delightful children's short story in which the kind rabbit gentleman, Uncle Wiggily Longears, sets out on a simple errand through the woods — only to find trouble around every bend. When little duck girl Lulu Wibblewobble's new party hat lands in a muddy puddle, she fears missing Nannie Wagtail's afternoon gathering entirely. Uncle Wiggily, fresh from his own hat disaster, has just the solution: a fern hat fashioned right from the forest floor, prettier than anything in a five-and-ten-cent store.
