Uncle Wiggily And The Cake Of Ice

"Uncle Wiggily and the Cake of Ice" is a humorous short story in which the ever-cheerful rabbit gentleman Uncle Wiggily sets off in his airship to fetch a cake of ice for his flustered housekeeper, Nurse Jane Fuzzy Wuzzy. The trouble begins when two mischievous squirrel brothers accidentally swipe the ice delivery sign from the porch, leaving the household without ice on the hottest day of the year. Uncle Wiggily's heroic airship rescue takes a delightfully soggy turn when the ice begins melting mid-flight, showering the animals below and convincing them it is raining.
