Uncle Wiggily And The Jack Horse | Howard R. Garis Stories

In this Uncle Wiggily story, the kindly rabbit gentleman sets out to visit the Wagtail goat children but ends up running an errand for Mrs. Wagtail to buy tasty paper labels from cans. While returning on the slippery, icy path, Uncle Wiggily falls and breaks his essential rheumatism crutch, leaving him stranded and unable to walk. Just when he despairs, help arrives unexpectedly in the form of the jolly old lady from the "Banbury Cross" nursery rhyme, riding her rocking horse named "Jack," who cheerfully gives the bunny a ride first to deliver the papers and then safely home, showcasing themes of helpfulness, overcoming mishaps, and whimsical solutions.
