Uncle Wiggily And Jackie

Uncle Wiggily and Jackie is a short story following the elderly rabbit Uncle Wiggily as he joins a grasshopper and young puppy Peetie Bow-Wow in searching for Peetie's grandfather's house after a night lost in the woods. Their journey takes a dangerous turn when a growling black bear snatches them both and begins deciding which to eat first. Just in time, Peetie's brother Jackie arrives with startling bravery — armed with nothing but a wooden gun and nerves of steel.
