Uncle Wiggily And The Fox

Uncle Wiggily and the Fox is a short story following Uncle Wiggily Longears, an elderly rabbit with a barber-pole crutch and a valise full of carrots, as he ventures through rain-soaked meadows in search of his fortune. When night falls, he settles into a stone cave — unaware that a fox has been watching and creeping closer in the dark. What follows is a tense, funny showdown where quick thinking and a bag of sharp-pointed carrots prove more useful than any weapon.
