Uncle Wiggily And The Yellow Bird

Uncle Wiggily and the Yellow Bird is a free online short story following the old gentleman rabbit as he ventures through a lonely forest on his quest for fortune. When a cunning arrangement of thorns forces him straight into a hidden trap, Uncle Wiggily narrowly escapes — only to discover a tiny yellow bird tangled in a string-trap high in a tree. With no way to climb, he turns to his sharp teeth for a daring solution, and the grateful bird finds a clever way to return the favour.
