Amiable Ape | Animal Stories

This short story features Funny Fox visiting the Amiable Ape, a barber, for a haircut. The Ape distracts the Fox with a picture of the Lion King, and while the Fox is admiring it, the Ape shaves off almost all his fur, leaving only his tail and toes furry. Although angry at the trick, the Fox tries to be philosophical, remembering "half a loaf is better than no bread." The story is then abruptly interrupted by Bold Badger suggesting they all go ice skating. For parents and teachers, this tale illustrates the importance of paying attention, the consequences of distraction, and how unexpected situations (like a friend's prank or an abrupt change of topic) can occur.
