After procuring ingredients by sea, all the town's butchers collaborated to make a sausage of unprecedented size, which was then paraded to a festive fairground. Following speeches and songs, the giant sausage was shared generously among all citizens, bringing immense joy, especially to the hungry children, and filling everyone with renewed hope, ultimately marking a turning point before the famine ended the next year.
