Uncle Wiggily And The Peppermint

Uncle Wiggily and the Peppermint is a short story following Uncle Wiggily, a kind rabbit gentleman, who sets out to fetch peppermint from the drug store for his ailing housekeeper, Nurse Jane Fuzzy Wuzzy. When he finds the store closed, a chance encounter in the woods with a helpful cow lady leads him to discover the real peppermint plant growing by a brook. The remedy is soon squeezed and bottled — but a mean, hungry bear blocks Uncle Wiggily's path home, setting up a wonderfully unexpected twist.
