Edith and the Bees | Animal Stories

In "Edith and the Bees," a young girl named Edith sets out to pick flowers for her sick friend Tommy but gets stung by a bee hidden in a rosebud. Upset at first, her father comforts her and turns the incident into a learning opportunity by taking her to visit a local beekeeper. There, Edith observes bees in a glass hive and learns fascinating facts about the queen bee, the industrious worker bees (like the one that stung her), their roles in the hive, and how they survive winter. This experience transforms her initial fear and upset into curiosity and appreciation, leaving her almost glad she was stung because she now has an interesting story and new knowledge to share with Tommy.
