Uncle Wiggily And The Birthday Cake | Animal Stories

This story follows a little girl, excited for her birthday cake, who shows compassion by freeing Uncle Wiggily, a well-dressed rabbit gentleman, from a hunter's trap while running errands. Later, during her birthday party, disappointment arises when her mother realizes they forgot candles for the cake and cannot find any replacements. Remembering the girl's earlier kindness, Uncle Wiggily overhears the predicament and resourcefully gathers pine-knot splinters, leaving them on the porch to be used as makeshift candles. The mother discovers and uses these unique "candles," saving the celebration and illustrating how an act of kindness can be unexpectedly repaid, highlighting themes of compassion, reciprocity, and creative problem-solving.
