Old Mother Bear’s Christmas stocking

Old Mother Bear's Christmas Stocking is a rhyming children's bedtime story about a kind bear who spends Christmas Eve knitting stockings for every animal who comes to her door empty-handed — Charlie the monkey, a tramp dog, a weeping cat, and even the wild Mad March Hare who tangles her yarn. One by one she gives her stockings away, until nothing remains for herself. But when Sammy Small Tail the rabbit notices her bare chimney, the animals band together to repay her generosity in the most heartwarming way.
