Mother Nature’s House Cleaning | Children Stories

In this charming story, Mother Nature observes the messy world left behind by King Winter and decides it needs cleaning before the gentler parts of Spring, represented by April and May, arrive. She enlists the help of boisterous March, who uses the East Wind to bring rain to wash away snow, the West Wind to clear the skies, and the South Wind to awaken seeds, trees, brooks, and call back the robins. The tale uses personification to explain the energetic, sometimes messy, transition from winter to spring, portraying March as the active force preparing the world for warmer weather and new growth.
