Uncle Wiggily’s Toothache

Uncle Wiggily's Toothache is a short story about a boy whose jumping, somersaulting toothache refuses to quit — yet no amount of pleading from his mother or grandmother can convince him to visit the dentist. When Uncle Wiggily Longears, the gentlemanly rabbit, hops past and overhears the standoff, he hatches a quiet, clever plan. Enlisting Dr. Possum for a little woodland performance, the bunny stages his own tooth-pulling to show the watching boy that bravery and relief go hand in hand.
