Read along at Ririro.com
"Mr. Fox Cuts the Cottontails" tells the story of Mr. Fox's attempt to improve his reputation by hosting a dinner for the woodland creatures. However, Susie and Jimmie Cottontail's tardiness and carelessness lead Mr. Dog to the party, spoiling the event and causing chaos. Mr. Fox, frustrated, blames the Cottontails' short ears and visible tails for their misfortune and decides to exclude them from future gatherings. The story illustrates the themes of reputation, unintended consequences, and the dangers of being easily tracked, showing why Cottontails are often left out of wood-folk events.
