The Doll that came straight from Fairyland

"The Doll that came straight from Fairyland" opens on the tenth birthday of Prince Perfection, where a surprise visit from the cantankerous Fairy Zigzag leaves his younger sister Princess Pansy with a magical wax doll and the Prince with nothing at all. Consumed by jealousy and loneliness, the Prince hides the enchanted Lady Emmelina — and must then venture across seas, plains, and icebergs to win her back. Along the way he earns a real steamboat, a real cannon, and a real balloon, discovering something far more valuable than birthday presents.
