Rubezahl

Rubezahl is a fairy tale about the Spirit of the Giant Mountains, a powerful but unpredictable being who falls deeply in love with Emma, a king's daughter, and spirits her away to an underground castle. Trapped but resourceful, Emma uses a magic wand to conjure friends from turnips — and eventually hatches a clever plan to escape back to her waiting prince. The story builds toward a battle of wills between a lovesick spirit and a determined princess who refuses to accept captivity as fate.
