A Little Roman Shepherd

A Little Roman Shepherd follows Bruno, a young shepherd boy living in isolation on the Roman Campagna, who dreams of visiting Rome after his friend Piccola describes its Christmas wonders — especially a mysterious wooden box that talks and sings. On Christmas Eve, unable to bear the loneliness any longer, Bruno slips away into the dark night along the ancient Appian Way. But when he stumbles upon a lost, frightened lamb, he faces a choice between the glittering city he longs for and the duty pulling him back into the cold shadows.
