The Delights of Christmas

"The Delights of Christmas" is a lively poem that captures the full spirit of the Christmas season through feasting, laughter, and communal joy. From Richard kissing Susan and Dolly while decking the halls with holly, to the smoking plum pudding and the famous English roast beef, each stanza revels in festive abundance. The poem builds toward Twelfth Day celebrations and closes with a warm call for those of plenty to share their blessings with the poor — mirth paired gently with generosity.
