The Strange Adventures of a Wood Sled

"The Strange Adventures of a Wood Sled" follows the Burnham siblings — college-age William and Grace, and younger brothers Win and Phil — as their Christmas Eve train becomes stranded in a mountain snowdrift on the way home to Pittsfield, Massachusetts. A warm-hearted farmer named Sandy Ross rescues them, shelters them overnight, and drives them home at dawn on his wood sled. As the journey unfolds, the children transform the plain sled into a moving bower of Christmas greenery — arriving home in a joyful scene their anxious parents will never forget.
