It’s For Christmas, Aunt Jane

"It's For Christmas, Aunt Jane" follows Prudence and Rebecca, two young girls living with their stern, Christmas-dismissing aunt, who dread facing their schoolmates empty-handed after the holidays. When all hope of gifts fades, resourceful Rebecca hatches a plan: they'll stage their own secret Christmas in the abandoned henhouse, decorating a small hemlock with candle stubs and treasured trinkets. What their aunt and uncle discover there quietly dismantles years of frugal indifference — and sets something unexpectedly warm in motion.
