The Christmas Thorn of Glastonbury

The Christmas Thorn of Glastonbury retells the legend of Joseph of Arimathea, who flees Jerusalem carrying the Holy Grail and wanders across seas and mountains guided by an angelic vision. Directed by the angel to bring the gospel to Britain's King Arvigarus, Joseph and eleven companions make landfall and are granted the mystical isle of Avalon. On Christmas Eve, as they climb the hill called Weary-All, Joseph plants his thorn-staff in the ground — and witnesses a breathtaking miracle that will mark that sacred spot forever.
