The Necklace Of Pearls

The Necklace of Pearls is a folk tale from the Azores about Francisco, a golden-haired fisherman's son spirited away by a sea nymph to her glittering mother-of-pearl palace beneath the waves. Enchanted by a philtre that erases all memory, Francisco wants for nothing — while his heartbroken mother makes a desperate journey across the sea to find answers. A wise man reveals that only her tears, falling upon her son's heart, can break the spell and bring him home.
