The fox and the horse

"The Fox and the Horse" is a short fable by Brothers Grimm about an aging horse cast out by his farmer after years of loyal service. Told he must become stronger than a lion to ever return home, the horse wanders the woods in despair — until a clever fox devises a cunning plan. What unfolds is a story about loyalty betrayed and cleverness rewarded, where the weakest character finds an unexpected way to meet an impossible demand, and an ungrateful master is forced to reckon with his own cruelty.
