The Yellow Dwarf

The Yellow Dwarf is a dark fairy tale in which a desperate queen makes a terrible bargain with an ugly dwarf to save herself from lions — promising him her beloved daughter, Bellissima. When the proud princess soon makes the same desperate promise, both women are bound to a fate they cannot escape. A handsome king enters the story and wins Bellissima's heart, but the Desert Fairy and the Yellow Dwarf have no intention of letting the lovers reach happiness — and the cost of broken promises proves devastating.
