The Story of Conn-Eda

The Story of Conn-Eda is an Irish fairy tale about a prince whose cruel stepmother conspires with a sorceress to send him to his death. Tricked into a game of chess, Conn-eda must journey to an underwater kingdom to retrieve three impossible treasures — golden apples, a great black horse, and the magical hound Samur — within a year and a day. His quest leads him through flaming serpents, a burning mountain, and a sacrifice that demands he repay loyalty with what feels like betrayal.
