How Miss Springtime Was Stolen

"How Miss Springtime Was Stolen" is a fairy tale short story in which the wicked giant King Frost refuses to surrender his icy grip on the world and hatches a plan to imprison Miss Springtime in his frozen castle. Tricking the mischievous but good-natured Jack Frost into helping, he snatches Miss Springtime from a moonlit garden before she can escape. With the world bare and cold, it falls to a determined but shabbily dressed Madam Summer to track down the castle and face King Frost alone — before the season is lost entirely.
