The King Of The Waterfalls

The King of the Waterfalls is a Scottish fairy tale in which a young king's reckless gambling with a wicked fairy called the Gruagach sets off a dangerous chain of quests. Cursed to retrieve a Sword of Light, then robbed of his enchanted wife and magical horses by a giant, the king must journey through dark forests and rivers guided by a yellow dog, a grey hawk, and a brown otter. His survival hinges on locating the giant's soul — hidden inside a stone, a sheep, a duck, and finally a single egg.
