Moti

Moti is a short story following a well-meaning but catastrophically clumsy young man who sets off with fifty silver pieces and an enormous wooden staff to seek his fortune. When thieves steal his money at a roadside inn, Moti takes matters into his own hands with a boldness that keeps mistaking recklessness for wisdom. From outwitting a king with a pomegranate to dragging a half-stunned tiger back to the inn on a broken halter, each blundering escapade somehow burnishes his reputation further — until a runaway pony and a castor-oil plant decide the outcome of an entire war.
