The Castle Of Kerglas

The Castle of Kerglas is a Breton fairy tale following Peronnik, a wandering idiot who survives on the kindness of strangers and can sing like a lark. When he learns that the magician Rogéar guards a golden bowl that heals the dead and a diamond lance that cuts through anything, Peronnik sets out to claim them — armed not with weapons or wealth, but with wit, a stolen colt, and a bag of feathers. Each obstacle he faces grows stranger and more dangerous than the last, and his chances of survival seem impossibly slim.
