The Groac’h Of The Isle Of Lok

"The Groac'h of the Isle of Lok" is a Breton fairy tale where Houarn, a young man desperate to earn enough to marry his childhood love Bellah, sets off to find the fabled sea fairy whose island hoard has swallowed every treasure-seeker before him. Seduced by the Groac'h's beauty and riches, Houarn forgets Bellah—until a magic bell warns her that danger is near. Armed with a transforming stick, a knife that breaks enchantments, and sharp-witted courage, Bellah disguises herself as a man and descends beneath the sea to face the sorceress alone.
