The Professor of Practical Jokes

"The Professor of Practical Jokes" is a fairy tale about King Grumbelo, a well-meaning but dull ruler who sets out to find the most beautiful, silent, and foolish princess in the world — only to be thoroughly outwitted. When he discovers the enchanting Lady Whimsical living behind apple-blossom gates guarded by an agreeably mild dragon, every attempt to win her over ends with a door banged cheerfully in his face. The real question is not whether the King will find his queen, but whether he is clever enough to deserve her.
