The Wonderful Toymaker

"The Wonderful Toymaker" is a children's fairy tale following Martin, the dreamy son of a Prime Minister, who sets off on a quest to find a new toy for the endlessly discontented Princess Petulant. His journey takes him through a purple enchanter's grove, a pine forest filled with silence-making dwarfs, and a maddening kingdom where invisible voices try to trap travellers by turning them into conversation. When Martin is captured and unable to return, the Princess must make a daring rescue — stoppered ears and all — before the two children finally reach a valley overflowing with the most extraordinary toys ever made.
