Those Wymps Again

"Those Wymps Again" is a fairy tale short story in which mischievous wymps cause the fairies to bestow all their christening gifts — beauty, wisdom, patience, and more — on a peasant's daughter instead of Prince Charming. The girl grows into "Little Wisdom," brilliant but joyless, while the Prince grows up laughing at everything and learning nothing. When a Red Rock Goblin gives the Prince his first real idea, he sets off to find Little Wisdom — not to reclaim the gifts, but to offer her the one thing the wymps gave him: laughter.
