The spindle, the shuttle, and the needle

"The Spindle, the Shuttle, and the Needle" is a Brothers Grimm fairy tale about a hardworking orphan girl who inherits three magical tools from her dying godmother. When a prince rides through her village searching for a bride who is "both poor and rich at the same time," he barely glimpses her through a window — yet her enchanted spindle, shuttle, and needle take matters into their own hands, spinning a golden thread through the fields and weaving a breathtaking carpet to lead him back to her door.
