A Heart of Stone

A Heart of Stone is a short fairy tale following Peter Munk, a discontented charcoal burner from the Black Forest who trades his living heart to the Evil Michiel in exchange for endless wealth. With a stone in his chest, Peter feels nothing — no joy, no guilt — as he grows rich through cold and ruthless dealings. But a haunting dream of his mother and a fragile glass cross from the Glassman Treasureman set him on a desperate path to reclaim what he gave away before it is too late.
