The Treasure Castle

The Treasure Castle is a short fairy tale about a hunter who rescues a dwarf from a pit and is rewarded with directions to a castle full of gold. Heeding the dwarf's strict warning to avoid the tower, the hunter takes his fortune and leaves — but a wicked king, eager to claim more, cannot resist following the trail of jewels upward. What waits in the tower is not more treasure, but a peculiar reckoning involving a flying spire, a dwarf kingdom, and a parrot chief judge.
