Dividing The Dead is a short Halloween story following two boys, Tom and Jack, who disguise themselves as ghosts to raid Farmer Brown's apple orchard. When they slip into the graveyard to divide their haul, their muttered counting sends a terrified farmer and his dog fleeing into the night — convinced they've overheard the Lord and the Devil sorting souls. But the real drama unfolds between Tom and Jack, as a sneaky trick with the two biggest apples puts their friendship to a quiet test.
