Nipon And The King Of The Northland

Nipon and the King of the Northland is a Native American myth in which Nipon, the Summer Queen, rules a sun-warmed land of blossoming forests and meadows. Despite her grandmother K'me-wan's repeated warnings, Nipon is drawn by an irresistible vision of Poon's frozen Northland and sets out on a fateful journey. With each step north, her flower coronet crumbles, her green robes wither, and her dark braids turn white — as the Winter King's power closes around her. K'me-wan must summon her mightiest wind warriors to fight for what remains of summer.
