The travels of Prince Flamingo

The Travels of Prince Flamingo follows White Wing, a flamingo born with brilliant white feathers among a colony of pink birds. Mocked by his peers and rejected by his own parents, he is banished when the flamingo king decrees that white-winged birds must die. A chance encounter with the ancient and warm-hearted Mrs. Old Turtle sets him on a journey across the sea, through a river valley alive with toucans, parrots, and danger, toward an emperor who has long awaited a white flamingo.
