Mr. Miacca

Mr. Miacca is a short cautionary folk story about Tommy Grimes, a boy who cannot resist wandering past the corner of his street despite his mother's dire warnings. When Mr. Miacca — a frightening figure who cooks naughty children for supper — catches him not once but twice, Tommy must rely on quick thinking to escape. The second capture is far more dangerous, and the tension builds as Tommy hides under a sofa with a chopper nearby and no friendly Mrs. Miacca to trick this time.
