Belling the Cat | Aesop Fables
This fable tells of mice who hold a meeting to figure out how to protect themselves from a dangerous cat. A young mouse proposes a seemingly clever plan: hang a bell around the cat's neck so they can hear it coming and escape in time. While all the mice initially celebrate this idea, a wise old mouse brings them back to reality by asking the crucial question: who among them is actually brave enough to put the bell on the cat? The story teaches that a plan, however brilliant it sounds, is useless if it cannot be practically carried out, highlighting the difference between ideas and execution.
