Treasure Island (Full Book) | Classic Stories

Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island is a quintessential coming-of-age adventure story following young Jim Hawkins, who discovers a map leading to buried pirate treasure after the death of an old sea captain at his parents' inn. He joins a sea expedition aboard the Hispaniola, alongside the upright Dr. Livesey and naive Squire Trelawney, unaware that many of the crew, secretly led by the charismatic yet ruthless one-legged cook, Long John Silver, are former associates of the infamous Captain Flint plotting mutiny. The narrative chronicles the thrilling voyage, the discovery of the pirates' plot, the tense struggle for survival and control on the tropical island involving battles, betrayals, and encounters with the marooned Ben Gunn, and the eventual recovery of the treasure, forcing Jim to confront danger, make difficult moral choices, and navigate the complexities of loyalty and greed.
