The Fox and the Crow | Aesop Fables

This classic fable follows a hungry Fox who cleverly tricks a Crow out of her piece of cheese. By praising the Crow's feathers and then flattering her singing voice, the Fox convinces the vain bird to open her beak and sing. As the Crow caws, the cheese falls right to the Fox, who snatches it up and departs, leaving the Crow with the important lesson that one should be wary of excessive flattery, as it can be used manipulatively to make you lose something valuable.
