The Snowman | Fairy Tales

This story follows a naive Snowman, newly brought to life, as he experiences the winter world and interacts with a cynical old yard-dog. Confused by the sun and moon, the Snowman develops an intense, inexplicable longing for a warm stove he sees through a window, despite the dog warning him it will cause his demise. Ignoring the danger and consumed by this "stove sickness," the Snowman eventually melts as the weather warms, revealing that the pole he was built around contained a stove scraper, poignantly explaining his fatal attraction to the warmth he could never safely approach.
