The Tinderbox | Fairy Tales

In "The Tinderbox," a soldier acquires a magical tinderbox from a witch (whom he then kills) which allows him to summon three powerful dogs guarding treasure. After spending his initial riches, he discovers the tinderbox's power, regaining wealth and using one dog to secretly visit a princess locked away due to a prophecy. His visits are eventually discovered, leading to his imprisonment and death sentence, but he cleverly retrieves the tinderbox and summons the dogs, who overthrow the king and queen, resulting in the soldier becoming king and marrying the princess.
