The Capture Of Father Time

"The Capture of Father Time" is a short fantasy story about Jim, a twelve-year-old Arizona cowboy visiting the city, who accidentally lassos an invisible old man crossing a field — Father Time himself, complete with scythe and hourglass. The moment the rope tightens, the entire world freezes solid. While everyone around him stands perfectly still, Jim roams free, and the temptation to cause a little mischief proves too strong to resist. But Father Time grows impatient, and Jim must weigh the fun of a stopped world against the consequences of keeping it that way.
